Community Impact Analyst
OVERVIEW
The Community Impact Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring that investments and initiatives are strategic, align with organizational goals and ultimately create long-lasting, fundamental change for families in Central Texas. The Community Impact Analyst will be responsible for leading efforts and establishing processes around measuring and tracking impact and outcomes. Working cross-functionally, the Community Impact Analyst will communicate results to diverse audiences, including nonprofits, donors, senior leadership, academics, and the community at large.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitate the identification of indicators and measurements. Develop benchmarks and standards in determining effectiveness and outcomes of organizational investments.
- Spearhead development of a centralized and standardized data center. Manage centralized tracking of data, strategies, and progress against established goals.
- Analyze short and long-term Return on Investment (ROI) and impact of organizational investments.
- Conduct research on effective strategies and programs to achieve goals aligned with United Way's focus areas. Keep team members apprised of current demographic and trend data. Contribute to the development and evaluation of strategies, programs, and initiatives.
- Work with partners to ensure timely collection of relevant data. Provide program evaluation technical assistance to ensure program success and reporting of clear, measurable outcomes aligned with UWCA goals and priorities.
- Develop and prepare information products for diverse audiences
- Work closely with staff, stakeholders, and volunteers to promote an atmosphere of teamwork, enthusiasm, and commitment to organizational mission and goals.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong outcomes/performance measurement background with knowledge of and demonstrated experience in quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods. Proficiency in STATA, SAS, SPSS or similar analytical tool preferred. Thorough knowledge of best practices within program/project evaluation.
- Understanding of the strategic planning process and the use of internal organizational and community dashboards.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to establish systems and processes around data collection and standards.
- Strong relationship builder with the ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, with diverse stakeholder audiences including nonprofits, donors, senior leadership, and academics.
- Fully accustomed to working on multiple projects, both independently and as a member of a diverse cross-functional team.
- Expertise in specific organizational program areas - Education, Financial Stability, Health - helpful but not required.
