VOLUNTEER

The Community Tax Centers, run by United Way Capital Area partner Foundation Communities, provide free income tax preparation to the greater Austin community. We’re proud to have partnered with Foundation Communities to provide volunteer, IRS-certified tax preparers through Hands On Central Texas, as well as helping residents locate their local Community Tax Center when they call 2-1-1 Texas.

Last year, Community Tax Centers helped Central Texas families identify and save more than $28 million in their federal income taxes—money that stayed in our community.

Military Family Access

Getting married soon?

The Twogether in Texas program provides free premarital education in Texas, and people who complete a course get $60 off of their marriage license fee. If you are over 18, in a relationship, and interested in improving your relationship, you can participate in a study of the program and earn up to $50 by answering a series of surveys.

Go to: twogetherintexassurvey.org to participate.

Has 2-1-1 helped you?

Has 2-1-1 helped you or someone you know? Maybe you used 2-1-1 during tax season, or called to learn more about the AISD Summer Lunch Program.

We'd like to hear about it.
