Income Tax Assistance
The Community Tax Centers, run by United Way Capital Area partner Foundation Communities, provide free income tax preparation to the greater Austin community. We’re proud to have partnered with Foundation Communities to provide volunteer, IRS-certified tax preparers through Hands On Central Texas, as well as helping residents locate their local Community Tax Center when they call 2-1-1 Texas.

Last year, Community Tax Centers helped Central Texas families identify and save more than $19 million in their federal income taxes—money that stayed in our community.
