1 out of 4 students in our community who enter 9th grade don't graduate from high school. The good news is that middle school students with at least one helpful adult in their lives are almost twice as likely to graduate.

Volunteer just one hour a week to mentor or tutor a kid, and you’ll be amazed at the difference it makes.

Our Work

United Way is working in a more focused and deliberate way than ever before, ensuring that the community dollars are put toward programs and services that address the underlying causes of the growing opportunity gap that exists in our region.

Education

Financial Stability

Far too many Central Texans live day-to-day stifled by a vicious cycle: Work hard, make a little money, and spend more money to pay for food, rent, and utilities. The result? Thousands and thousands of families in our community are either living in poverty or teetering precariously on the brink of it.  Learn more.

Health

Limited or no healthcare access is a reality for many in our community. And it translates into decreased length and quality of life for the individual, and increased burdens on the community through higher taxes and health insurance rates.
